connotation/denotation dark souls 3
The Denotation of the image is the lord of cinders with the firelink armour set and the whole "burning" perpetuates the embers that are coming from lord of cinders.
But the denotation of the game cover is the soul of cinders who appears to be "torn" from battle with the battle stance he is in. Further analysis is the knight in the cover is perpetuated as tired which is a resemblance to dark souls 3 being the last of the game series, the last stand and the last challenging fight the character will endure physically and emotionally. Being physically on fire and emotionally tired, seeing all of this as myself and possibly in other peoples eyes
The connotation of this game Dark souls 3 impacts me a lot because not only is it interesting but it's unique to me and i like very challenging games, I like to beat a game perceived as hard by other players and slay the game, I like the player vs player experience, the high of being the top of the leader board and knowing you've defeated a hard game. But to someone else who lacks enjoyment of a challenge and rage quits every 5 minutes they wouldn't agree with my view on the game
